AIB SERIES Round 2 - Euro Qualifier

Over the weekend, the AIB/Laneez Euroqualifier Round 2 for the shortboard divisions took place at the Watersplash in some of the biggest surf seen at a contest for well over a decade.

The conditions were quite challenging with solid 6-8ft sets all day saturday before the swell dropped over night to a more manageable 3ft.

Each competitor is awarded points which goes toward selection for the Europeans.

We had the opportunity to help with tabulating, spotting & time keeping as well as providing water for the competitors. It is great fun to be able to get to know everyone, help out at the comps and watch the islands best surfers compete. Please be encouraged to come down, help out and serve!

The next competition is the Surfabout on the 16th / 17th May!
