CS Europe Conference

I have just returned from the CS Europe third conference. A group of key leaders from the main European surfing countries met together in Seignosse, Hossegor over the weekend of May16-18.

The Conference allowed us to network the small, but growing, band of surf missionaries throughout Europe. We were able t focus on what God’s doing, look at priorities and, above all, to inspire and dream about what God can do through a close working relationship between all the Countries.

This year saw representatives from Ireland, UK, France, Spain, Portugal and Holland. We also had a number of people from the US and Oz who have moved to various European countries as missionaries. We were due to have a representative from Switzerland, but due to a plane strike she was unable to join us.

It was so encouraging to see how God is mobilising people to further the work of Christian Surfers in Europe.

We spent time working through the core values of CS as well as the vision of Christian Surfers. We also spent time sharing and praying about how we felt God my be moving CS Europe forward. We heard various inspiring testimonies about how God is working in the various countries, shared great food but unfortunately, as last year, the surf did not cooperate quite as much as we hoped, although we all enjoyed a fun session on Saturday afternoon on 2-3ft shore dump at La Penon

Please pray for the work as we develop Christian Surfers in Europe, through the website, through working together on missions and for my role as I am to network/facilitate people to support each other in prayer, and practical applications.

A big thanks to the CS France guys who fed us and did so much of the work on the ground.

Cirsty will be driving down to Hossgor to share in a time of fellowship / surf / teaching / developing the vision/looking to the future with all the CS crew around Europe.
